PURPOSE: To further effectively produce a carbonate diester by developing a highly active catalyst system.
CONSTITUTION: The method for producing a carbonate diester by reacting an alcohol with carbon monoxide and oxygen in the presence of a solid catalyst in a gaseous phase is characterized by using the solid catalyst having a ≤1mm particle diameter.
