Abstract:

To obtain a woven fabric cloth having a high dimensional stability by heating a woven fabric strip on its conveyance, directly adhering a thermoplastic filmstrip therewith under a pressure and then rapidly cooling.

This method for producing a dimensionally stable woven fabric cloth is provided by conveying a fibrous woven fabric strip 1 having a tensile strength such as that of an aramide fiber, a glass fiber, a carbon fiber or the like from a feeding roll 3 in an arrow mark 2 direction, guiding the above woven fabric strip 2 to a deflecting roller 5 in a prescribed angle directly after passing through an infrared heating station 4, adhering a polyphenylene sulfide film strip 6 on the deflecting roller 5 under a non-heated state conveyed from a feeding roller 11 in an arrow mark 12 direction, melting the polyphenylene sulfide film with the residual heat of the above woven fabric strip 1 for impregnating it into the woven fabric strip, then conveying the woven fabric cloth 8 cooled to ≤100°C with a cooling roller 7 in an arrow mark 13 direction and winding it with a winding roller 9.
