Abstract:
To provide a production facility capable of reducing power consumption by an electric brake while expanding the service life of a mechanical brake.SOLUTION: A production facility 10 comprises: a mechanical brake 11; an electric brake 12 using a servomotor 12m; and a control unit 13 for controlling movements of the mechanical brake 11 and the electric brake 12. The control unit 13 is configured to calculate the stop time and the stop frequency in multiple stop periods in one cycle in a production process, and when the stop frequency is equal to an allowable number Nc or more of the mechanical brake 11, to select, from the longer stop time, the stop period equivalent to the allowable number Nc; and during the selected stop period, to activate the mechanical brake 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
