PURPOSE: To eliminate an intermediate stage which has been conventionally performed by using a bobbin, and to improve the productivity and quality of hollow yarn bundles by forming an endlessly enclosing hollow yarn bundle by winding the hollow yarn drawn in a spinning apparatus directly around a hank, and cutting the hollow yarn bundle at specified positions.

CONSTITUTION: An endlessly surrounding hollow yarn bundle 14 is formed by winding hollow yarn 13 drawn in a spinning apparatus 11 directly around a hank 12. A terminated linear hollow yarn bundle 15 is obtd. by cutting the above described hollow yarn bundle 14 at specified positions in its winding direction, for example, at positions corresponding to intersection point of each edge of the hank 12. Thus, a labor for handling pallets for housing bobbins or for attaching and detaching the bobbins to a spinning apparatus or to a reeling machine, etc., are eliminated, saving the time required for supplementing the bobbins for winding or feeding the hollow yarn to a spinning apparatus. Moreover, the quality of the hollow yarn bundle is improved because bending of the hollow yarn due to winding of the yarn around a bobbin is not generated.
