Abstract:
To provide a production method of a pulp fiber for making a cellulose nanofiber having a low lignin content, having its small distribution and being excellent in cellulose nanofiber-making property from used sanitary articles.SOLUTION: In a production method of a pulp fiber for making a cellulose nanofiber including: a step supplying a mixed liquid 51 containing a used sanitary article-derived superabsorbent polymer and the pulp fiber to a treatment tank 31 from a mixed liquid supply port 32; a step supplying an ozone-containing gas 53 into a treatment liquid 52 in the treatment tank 31 from an ozone-containing gas supply port 43; a step forming the pulp fiber for making the cellulose nanofiber from the pulp fiber by ascending the ozone-containing gas 53 while descending the superabsorbent polymer and the pulp fiber in the treatment tank 31 and bringing the ozone-containing gas 53 into contact with the superabsorbent polymer and the pulp fiber; and a step discharging the treatment liquid 52 from a treatment liquid discharge port 33, the lignin content of the pulp fiber for making the cellulose nanofiber is 0.1 mass% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
