Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a molding composition which excels in workability during molding and can give a cured product of specified properties by using a vinyl chloride resin, a monofunctional or polyfunctional (meth)acrylate and a thermal polymerization initiator as the essential components. CONSTITUTION:A vinyl chloride resin (A) (desirably a vinyl chloride homopolymer or copolymer having a vinyl chloride content >=70% and a degree of polymerization of 300-10000, desirably 500-6000) is mixed with a monofunctional and/or polyfunctional (meth)acrylates (B) (e.g. neopentyl dimethacrylate) and a thermal polymerization initiator (C) (e.g. t-butyl peroxybenzoate) as the essential components in such amounts that the A to B weight ratio is (20:80)-(65:35), desirably (30-70)-(60:40), and 0-10, desirably 0.1-5 pts.wt. when component C is used per 100 pts.wt. total of A and B, to obtain a molding composition of a viscosity <=3000cPs (at room (temperature), a bending modulus of a cured product >=300kg/mm<2> and a bending strength of a cured product >=8kg/mm<2>.
