Abstract:
PURPOSE: To economically produce the subject fabric reduced in pile yarn loss, having clear-cut patterns, and high in pile density.
CONSTITUTION: Among several kinds of multicolor pile yarns 11, 12, 31, 32 drawn into spacings between dents, residual pile yarns 21, 22, 41, 42 other than the pile yarns selected in order to form piles in picking operation are trapped in a space between upper cloth 30 and lower cloth 30 without being bypassed on the outside of needle threads 13 and bobbin threads 33 representing the outside of a double pile raw fabric to be patterned 19 over the several picking operations before the subsequent picking operations, when the residual pile yarns 21, 22, 41, 42 are to be selected for forming piles, and the pile yarns 11, 12, 31, 32 including the residual pile yarns 21, 22, 41, 42 connecting the upper cloth 10 and lower cloth 30 are cut to separate into the upper cloth 10 and lower cloth 30, and the tips of the projected residual pile yarns 21, 22, 41, 42 are cut off by shearing to make even the lengths of the cut piles 39.
