PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ribbed tubular woven fabric having ribs protruding in the radial direction.
SOLUTION: An axis 7 is covered and fitted with a shaping unit 13 having through- holes 14 formed on the outer peripheral surface thereof to form a layer of oblique yarns S on the outer peripheral surface of the shaping unit 13 and needle parts 15b of pin units 15 prepared by freely detachably connecting each yarn receiving part 15a to the needle parts 15b are inserted into the through-holes 14. The oblique yarns S in a state thereof brought into contact with the top surfaces of the yarn receiving parts 15a are subsequently woven and laminated to form the layer of the oblique yarns S. The axis 7 is then taken out of the shaping unit 13 and the needle parts 15b are subsequently taken out of the side of an inner hole 13' of the shaping unit 13 to bring the oblique yarns S into contact with the top surfaces of the yarn receiving parts 15a, which are thereby taken out of openings 6 on both sides of protruding parts 17 formed on the layer of the oblique yarns S. Furthermore, a suitable mold 20 is then pressed from the outside thereto in order to form the protruding parts 17 into platy ribs 18 and the shaping unit 13 is subsequently removed from the mold 20.
