Abstract:
PURPOSE: A mixture of an acrylic polymer and water is melt extruded under forming and heat treated, thus producing rush-like materials with proper elastic recovery, good feeling, luster, high light resistance, dyeability, uniformity and wearing resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture cosisting of (A) 40W90 wt.% of an acrylonitrile homopolymer or an acrylic copolymer from more than 40 wt.% of acrylonitrile and ethylenically unsaturated compounds and (B) 60W10 wt.% of water is molten by heating and sent to spining orifices. The pressure of the molten mixture is adjusted to 0.5W20 kg/cm2 immediately before the orifis, then the mixture is melt extruded under foaming from orifis 8 and resulting foam product is heat treated.
