PURPOSE: To wind a reinforced-resin molding material around the taper part of a core without staggering by placing chicken wires at several parts of the periphery of the taper part of the core, in producing a reinforced-resin reducing socket provided with tapered part.
CONSTITUTION: The core 1 for producing the reinforced-resin reducing socket is rotatable in the circumferential direction around a shaft 2 and has the taper part 11 in the circumferetial direction of the outside peripheral surface. A surfacing mat impregnated with an unsaturated polyester resin is wound around the core 1 to form an inside surface layer 3. A plurality of non-slip members 4 produced by cutting the chicken wire into thin strips are placed on the layer 3 around the taper part 11 over the full length of the part 11, and the reinforced-resin molding material containing an unsaturated polyester resin and elongated fibrous material such as glass roving is wound around the members 4. After hardening the molding material integrally with the layer 3 and the members 4, the core 1 is removed to obtain the reinforced-resin reducing socket.
