Abstract:
To provide a projector that comprises a shutter unit and is small-sized.SOLUTION: A projector of the present invention comprises: a light source device; a light modulator that forms image light; a projection optical device that projects the light modulated by the light modulator on a projection target surface; an optical member that guides the light from the light modulator to the projection optical device; and a shutter unit that is arranged between the optical member and the projection optical device and can block a light path between the optical member and the projection optical device. The shutter unit has a drive motor, a transmission member that transmits a rotational driving force of the drive motor, and a shutter member that is arranged on the light path of the light emitted from the optical member and moves in conjunction with the movement of the transmission member. The shutter member is provided opposite to an opposing area opposite to the projection optical device. At least part of the transmission member is provided opposite to the opposing area. The drive motor is provided outside the opposing area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
