EXAMPLE: 9(O)-Methanol-Δ6(9)-prostaglandin I 1.
USE: Drug for controlling vascular disorder, e.g. vasodilating, hypotensive and antithrombotic agents, etc., or controlling malignant tumor or its metastatis. It has high chemical stability, and can be used in the transplantation of organs, vascular extracorporeal circulation, etc.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula I wherein R3 and R4 are R3' and R4' can be prepared by reacting the compound of formula III (R3' and R4' are 2W7C acyl or together with O of OH form acetal bond; R8, R8' and R8" are 1W7C alkyl, aryl, etc.) (novel substance) with sulfonic anhydride in the presence of a base.
