Abstract:

To provide a protector for a hull capable of automatically clean the bottom of the hull without requiring hands, when the ship enters a port and departs from the port.

A float 4 disposed on the right and left of a flexible sheet 1 and the sheet alternatively extending inside from the float and having a cleaning float 6 provided with a projecting and recessed part 5 on its surface are installed in a designated water area. If a ship advances, the sheet covers it along the bottom part 3 of the ship, the projecting and recessed part of the cleaning float is brought into contact with the bottom part of the ship and frictionally passes along the bottom part by its relative movement, and thereby, deposits such as barnacles and seaweeds and their eggs deposited on the bottom of the ship can be efficiently removed. In addition, the seawater in the sheet is shielded from the seawater around the hull, supply of fresh seawater is interrupted by the sheet, and thereby, oceanic lives are annihilated and are not deposited.
