Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a new protein usable for the search of an inhibitor of a signal transfer route utilizing Jak family kinase and Stat family protein and expectable to be useful e.g. as an agent for the treatment of cancers proliferating dependent upon cytokine.

CONSTITUTION: This protein has the following properties. (1) The molecular weight is 72kD; (2) it can be bonded to Stat protein; (3) it gives tyrosine phosphate by various cytokines and (4) it has tyrosine kinase activity.
