A push-pull type handle device comprises: a first pedestal fixed to a wall surface of a door; a second pedestal fixed to the wall surface at a required interval from the first pedestal; a handle whose proximal end side is pivoted to the first pedestal through a handle pivot, and other end side is connected to the second pedestal through linking means, an operation piece in a projected piece shape, directly or indirectly provided on a handle axial side of the handle and engaged with a drive body provided inside a lock box of a latch lock; and energizing means for returning the handle to an initial position.
