Abstract:

To precisely evaluate the quality of the whole soil improvement body including an unimproved part by an easy method.

There is provided a quality evaluation method including: finding standard deviations in shearing wave speed by soil layers by examining single core boring from improved ground; determining the minimum number of samples of boring using a section estimation method for a (t) distribution generated on teh basis of the standard deviations; discriminating between an improved part and an unimproved part by observing properties of a core excavated with the determined number of samples; calculating an improvement rate R of each soil layer from the improved part; finding a first correlation expression obtained from the relation between a shearing wave speed and a deformation coefficient and a second correlation expression obtained from the relation between the shearing wave speed and uniaxial compression strength for a test body of each layer having the same quality with the determined improved part; estimating the deformation coefficient and uniaxial compression strength of the improved part from those relational expressions and comparing them with design management values; and evaluating the numeral, obtained by multiplying the estimated deformation coefficient and uniaxial compression strength by the improvement rate R respectively, as the ground of the whole improved part including the unimproved part.
