Abstract:

To precisely determine the total of the content of free oxides or free hydroxides, and carbonate for stabilizing the characteristics of a synthetic composite oxide.

A quantitative analysis method of the total of free oxides or hydroxides contained in the composite oxide and carbonate is used to change the free oxides or hydroxides contained in the composite oxide to carbonate by allowing the composite oxide to react with carbon dioxide, and then determining the quantity of carbon dioxide generated by mixing with acid solution. Especially, a method for changing to the carbonate is a method for bubbling the carbon dioxide to paste created by mixing the composite oxide with water. Further, paste pH when the bubbling ends is preferably 8-11.
