PURPOSE: To reduce a wind load affected on a quay building to decrease weight of the quay building in facilities wherein cargo handling under rainy weather is carried out by using the quay building on a quay and to the sea side.
CONSTITUTION: In a quay building 11 for cargo handling having a roof 5 extended from the quay to the sea side, a front cover body 6 is elevatably equipped at a front end of the roof 5 extended from the quay building 11 to the sea side, and side cover bodies 7 are elevatably equipped on both right and left sides of the roof 5 between a vertical front face 8 in a rear lower part of the roof 5 and the lowered front cover body 6. Cover bodies 9 for opening/closing a part of the roof 5 of the quay building 11 are also provided.
