NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [R1 is carboxy, amidated carboxy, CN, thiocarbamoyl, tetrazolyi; R7 is H, aryl; R2 is H, OH, alkyl, alkoxy; R3 is R2, alkenyloxy, aryl which may be substituted, arylthio, aroyl, arenesulfonyl; R2 and R3 may bond to each other to form CH2CH2CH2, or CH=CH] and its salts.

EXAMPLE: N-[5-(1H-Tetrazolyl]-4H-quinolidine-4-one-3-carboxamide.

USE: Antiallergic, antiulcerative.

PREPARATION: For example, a compound of formula II (R4 is protected carboxyl) or its salt is deprotected in its carboxyl group to give the compound of formula I.
