This radar system 100 includes antenna elements 105 and 106 respectively having power feeding sections A, B and C, D, transmitter 101 for transmitting signals, receiver 102 for receiving signals, switching device 103 for optionally connecting each power feeding section A or C of the antenna elements 105 and 106 with the transmitter 101, switching device 104 for optionally connecting each power feeding section B or D of the antenna elements 105 and 106 with the receiver 102, and control section 110 for controlling connections of these switching devices 103 and 104, wherein the antenna elements 105 and 106 have mutually different directivity each other.
