Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide excellent durability and enhance rectilinear running stability and turning stability even in high speed running by forming a belt layer using a fold ply in which a belt cord is oblique at a specific angle to a tire equator, and providing outside which a band layer for covering a folded back part of the fold ply.

CONSTITUTION: A belt layer 7 and a band layer 9 are provided outside a radially arranged carcass 6. A first belt ply 11 of the belt layer 7 is provided with a belt cord arranged at 15-25 degrees to a tire equator C and a folded back part 11B including both end parts of a second belt ply on both sides of a base part adjacent to the carcass 6. The band layer 9 consists of band plies 14, 15 in which band cords are spirally wound reversely to each other from the tire equator C to both sides in the tire axial direction, and the band cords are oblique to the tire equator C at 5 degrees or less.
