To improve the condensing efficiency of stimulable luminous light of a radiation image information reader.
A line sensor 20 is provided with a width to enable a photoelectric conversion element 21 to receive the stimulable luminous light from 30% up to 90% of the spreading light thereof in such a manner that the element can receive the spreading light of the linear stimulable luminous light M emitting from a stimulus phosphor sheet 50.
