A radiation photographing system includes: a synchronous communicator that performs synchronous communication related to the photograph of a radiation image via a wireless communication path before irradiation with radiation; a determinator that determines that the irradiation with radiation is to be performed when the synchronous communication is normally performed, and that the irradiation with radiation is not to be performed when the synchronous communication is not normally performed; and a radiation image communicator that performs radiation image communication related to the transmission of the radiation image via the wireless communication path after the irradiation with radiation is performed. Setting values of communication parameters for the radiation image communication are set so as to exhibit the same or a higher tolerance for noise on the wireless communication path compared with setting values of the communication parameters for the synchronous communication.
