The radio communication device performs first data transfer between with an opposite device by a first radio communication method, using a physical layer and a data link layer conforming to the first radio communication method, and performs second data transfer faster than the first data transfer between with the opposite device by the first radio communication method, using a physical layer and a data link layer conforming to a second radio communication method different from the first radio communication method, and further performs third data transfer between with the opposite device by the second radio communication method, using the physical layer and the data link layer conforming to the second radio communication method. When the second data transfer is instructed, the radio communication device includes operation restriction means for restricting the physical layer and the data link layer conforming to the second radio communication method to perform the third data transfer operation.
