Abstract:
To provide a precision casting of a reactive metal having a complicated shape at a low cost.
In a manufacturing method of a shell mold for casting which is used for manufacturing the casting of the reactive metal, a mold is prepared and the mold is dipped in an yttria-based slurry comprising a dense grain yttria powder of ≥4.60 g/ml density and a non-aqueous-based binder. A shell is formed on a surface of the dipped mold, the shell is dried, the mold is released and finally the shell is calcined. The casting of the reactive metal is manufactured by using the shell mold for casting produced by this method.
