Abstract:
To provide a compact and highly productive reactor.SOLUTION: A reactor includes: a coil having a pair of wound portions; a magnetic core arranged inside and outside of the wound portions; a holding member which defines mutual positions of the coil and the magnetic core; a casing that houses an assembly that includes the coil, the magnetic core, and the holding member; and a sealing resin that fills up the casing. The casing includes a bottom plate on which the assembly is placed, a side wall surrounding a periphery of the assembly, and an opening opposite to the bottom plate. The side wall has a pair of long-side portions opposite to each other and a pair of short-side portions opposite to each other. The assembly is housed in the casing so that an axial direction of each of the wound portions is along in a depth direction of the casing. The magnetic core includes an outer core which is arranged on an outside of the wound portions and at the opening side. The holding member includes an outer wall which covers at least a part of an outer peripheral surface of the outer core, and an extension portion which protrudes from the outer wall toward one of the short-side portions. When the casing is viewed in plan, a gap is formed between at least one of the long-side portions and the extension portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
