Title:
REAR VIEW CONFIRMING CAMERA LOADED ON CAR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03266740
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enlarge the rear field of view, to prevent deterioration of running performance and to prevent burglary by disposing a rear confirming camera in the rear portion of a car body, and disposing a mirror for reflecting a dead angle range of the camera on the back of a cover for opening and closing an opening portion opposite to the camera.

CONSTITUTION: A rear confirming camera 3 is disposed above a bumper 2 in the interior of a rear armor surface in a car body 1. An opening portion 7 is formed on a rear armor surface of the car body corresponding to the rear confirming camera 3, and an opening and closing cover 4 is disposed on the opening portion 7. A mirror 5 is attached to the back of the cover 4 in such a manner as to position within the field of view of the rear confirming camera 3. When a vehicle is moved backward, the cover 4 is opened to take a picture of the circumstances in the rear of the vehicle by the rear confirming camera 3 through the opening portion 7. At this time, the cover 4 is moored in the field of view of the rear confirming camera 3 to take a photograph of the dead angle range E through the mirror 5 instead of an unneeded range D above the horizontal line T.
