Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect presence/absence of a sheet on a tray in a recording device.SOLUTION: A recording device comprises: a recording section forming a recorded article by performing recording on a recording medium; a tray having a through-hole in a thickness direction covered with the recorded article when the recorded article is placed thereon; a sound source being disposed at any position out of a position facing one surface of the tray, a position facing the other surface of the tray, and a position in the through-hole, and outputting a predetermined sound volume value; a detection section disposed at a position where the detection section can detect a sound volume value detected when the predetermined sound volume value is output in a state of the recorded article being placed on the tray and a sound volume value detected when the predetermined sound volume value is output in a state of the recorded article not being placed on the tray as different values; and a determination section determining presence/absence of the recorded article placed on the tray based on the sound volume values detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
