To manufacture a recycled decorative board which is flame-retardant and beautiful and peculiarly glossy with high strength by mixing shell particles with plastic waste and stirring the mixture, and hollow-molding the stirred material and then, polishing the surface of the hollow-molded product.
When a recycled decorative board which is friendly to environments, and can be used for a ceiling, a wall or the like, is to be manufactured, firstly shell particles obtained by crushing scallops, turban shells or hen clams and pelletized plastic waste of a polyester, an AS resin, or an ABS resin represented by a PET bottle, are mixed and stirred. Next the mixed material is charged into an extruder and extruded in the shape of a board, while the extruder is heated. In this case, it is possible to make the board lightweight by making the board hollow in a mold of the extruder, and the sound barrier effect and the heat insulating effect are enhanced. Further, the board extrusion- molded by the extruder is cooled and dried, the surface of the board is polished. Consequently, the recycled decorative board with a peculiar gloss of a respectively different kind of shells is obtained.
