PURPOSE: To expand a storage space for food, and improve the service-ability of a machine chamber by a method wherein the machine chamber is separated from the main body, and the upper part of the main body is used as a cold reserving chamber to contain food.

CONSTITUTION: A stirring fan 15 is always operated in the same manner as a fan 6 for evaporator, and a circulating motion for which one part of cold air which passes through an evaporator 7 is introduced to a cold reserving chamber 13, and is turned to the inside of an internal box 2 by a suction duct 17 is repeated to cool the inside of the cold reserving chamber 13. A machine chamber 18 is easily separated from a main body 4 by disengaging the connection between the main body 4 and a connector 24. By this method, machine chamber 18 can be set outdoors, and a storage space for food can be expanded. Also, since intermediate parts of a pipe 22 on the high pressure side and a pipe 23 on the low pressure side, which connect the main body 4 and machine chamber 18, are connected by the connector 24, the replacement or repair of the machine chamber becomes easier.
