Abstract:

To provide a method for regenerating waste paper of corrugated board enabling the improvement of the strength of corrugated board raw paper without lowering dehydrating property by subjecting the waste paper of corrugated board to a rising-floating treatment and further treating the rejected part containing separated fine fibers with enzyme under specific conditions, and at the same time subjecting the long fiber part to a solid-dissolving treatment.

Waste paper of corrugated board of the concentration of 0.5-2.0 wt.% is subjected to a rising-floating treatment under conditions of a temperature of 20-55°C, a flow velocity of 10-55 l/min and an air flowing quantity of 5-20 l/min, subsequently treating the rejected component containing separated fine fibers with a hydrolase for a polysaccharide consisting of 0.01-0.1 wt.% of cellulase and hemicellulase and 0.01-0.06 wt.% of amylase, and further the long fiber component remaining after the separation of the fine fibers is concentrated to the concentration of 2-6 wt.%, and it is subjected to a solid-dissolving treatment at 20-70°C to regenerate the waste paper of corrugated board.
