To provide a release agent feeding volume-controlling device for the press roll of a paper machine, which can control the feeding volume of a releasing agent for wet paper fed to the press roll of the paper machine in quick response to the change of a press speed or a paper-making speed or the change of the brand or basis weight of made paper.
Provided is the release agent feeding volume-controlling device for the press roll of the paper machine, characterized by disposing a volume type flow meter 13 in a release agent-feeding pipe 10 connected to a shower water-supplying pipe 7a for supplying washing doctor shower water to the doctor blades 5 of a center roll C, measuring the volume of the release agent added to the doctor shower water, and controlling the discharging volume of a metering pump 11 for feeding the release agent on the basis of the measured volume. The employment of the volume type flow meter as the flow meter 13 enables to measure a fine volume of the release agent, and further control the added volume, while highly accurately following the change of a press speed or a paper-making speed.
