PURPOSE: To restore the insulation resistance between cable cores in a short time, by forming dams at both the sides of water intrusion section of communication cables through filling with sealing material etc. from the openings drilled to the pipeline and freezing the water intrusion section through flowing freezing agent between the dams.
CONSTITUTION: The earth on a pipeline 2 in damage is removed, and a pair of openings 5, 6 having a suitable interval are drilled on the pipeline 2 at both ends of the water intrusion section 3a of a communication cable 3. Next, from the opening 5 close to the water intrusion section 3a, sealing material such as putty is filled in the pipeline 2 to form the tentative stop section 7. Next, a flow-out preventing dam 8 is formed by injecting foamed water stopping agent from another opening 6. After the formation of the dam 8, freezing agent 9 is flowed from damaged part 4a of the pipeline 2 between the dams 8 to freeze the water intrusion section 3a. Further, the insulating resistance between cores of the cable 3 can be restored in a short time.
