To provide a ribbon cloth effective for reducing the generation of molten lump in incineration and facilitating the bidegradation treatment of the lump.

The ribbon cloth is produced by using a yarn-dyed biodegradable aliphatic polyester fiber. Preferably, the biodegradable aliphatic polyester is a polylactic acid. The ribbon cloth is preferably an ornamentized cloth. It gives reduced load on the environment since the cloth has biodegradability in spite of excellent designability, generates little molten lump in incineration, is easily disposable by burying in soil and disappears by biodegradation within several years after the burial treatment.
