Abstract:
To provide a robot, a robot controlling method and a program that can establish eye contact for enhanced familiarity.SOLUTION: A robot 100 comprises: a display part 130 and a movable part 140 for operating a self device including an eye part; a visual line recognition part 115 for determining whether or not eye contact is established with respect to a prescribed target; a determination part 114 for determining whether or not a prescribed condition has been fulfilled during the eye contact, when determined that eye contact is established with the prescribed target by the visual line recognition part 115; and an operation control part 119 for controlling the display part 130 and the movable part 140 in order to cancel the eye contact with the prescribed target, when determined that the prescribed condition is fulfilled according to the determination part 114.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
