Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot system capable of avoiding generation of a free-run state of a motor while duplicating stopping means of a robot when the robot system is in an abnormal state.SOLUTION: The robot system includes a first control unit 51 and a second control unit 52. Each of the first control unit 51 and the second control unit 52 has a function of mutually monitoring a failure. The first control unit 51, upon detection of a failure in the second control unit 52, turns on a low-side switch SWL for three components to apply dynamic braking to a robot. The second control unit 52, upon detection of a failure in the first control unit 51, turns on the low-side switch SWL for three components to apply dynamic braking to the robot.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
