Abstract:
To simplify a configuration of a robot.SOLUTION: A robot 200 includes a body part 207, a first electrostatic capacity sensor having a first electrode provided to the body part 207, and a second electrostatic capacity sensor having a second electrode provided to the body part 207. The first and second electrostatic capacity sensors are configured so that respective amounts of changes in the electrostatic capacity of the first and second electrostatic capacity sensors are mutually different, the amounts of changes being generated when a detection object is positioned at a position away by the same distance mutually with respect to the first and second electrodes from a state in which the detection object is positioned outside a detection range of the first and second electrostatic capacity sensors. The robot 200 further includes an outer covering 201 for covering the body part 207, and the first and second electrostatic capacity sensors, and control means for controlling an operation of the robot 200 according to a result of detection by the first and second electrostatic capacity sensors.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
