PURPOSE: To feed out a recording paper after it is cut accurately always in a fixed length without being influenced by an external variation factor such as dispersion of a roller outside diameter of a delivery roller or surrounding temperature and humidity or the size of a roll diameter of the recording paper.
CONSTITUTION: The tip of a recording paper 22 delivered by a delivery roller 14 is detected in order by the first and the second recording paper tip detecting sensors 17 and 19 separated mutually in the carrying direction. The number of pulses inputted to a motor to rotate the first and the second carrier rollers 18 and 20 whose line speeds are different from each other, is counted up to detecting time by the second recording paper tip detecting sensor 19 from detecting time by the first recording paper tip detecting sensor 17. This counted pulse number is compared with a preset value, and when it coincides with the preset value, the recording paper is carried by a document length, and the motor is stopped, and it is cut by a cutter 16. When it does not coincide with the preset value, the motor is controlled so that a carrying quantity is corrected.
