PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate failure in printing/paper feed caused by varying winding condition of the roll paper due to start and stoppage of the paper feed in a throw-in type of printer that holds printer roll paper inside the storage portion.SOLUTION: The structure includes: a roll paper storage part that stores roll paper without pivotally supporting; a paper feeding part that feeds the paper provided from the roll paper; a printing part that performs printing on the paper; and a roll paper pressing part that presses the roll paper stored in the roll paper storage part. The roll paper pressing part is a roll paper printer that presses the roll paper of a pre-determined diameter or less toward the bottom of the roll paper storage part, the roll paper pressing part including a pressing roller that presses the roll paper and also rotates following the paper feed and a rotation controlling part that controls the rotation of the pressing roller by friction force. The roll paper of a pre-determined diameter or less enters the feed route of the paper feeding part through the pressing roller after the paper provided from the roll paper is peeled off the roll part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
