To provide a root vegetable harvester for nipping, pulling out, hanging and transporting root vegetable crops by belts, with which positions (heights) of root vegetable parts during transportation are arranged and mud attached to the root vegetable parts is dropped so as to cut fibrous roots growing on the bottoms of the root vegetable parts as much as possible.
The root vegetable harvester has constitution that leaf and stem parts 3a of the root vegetable crops vegetated in a field are nipped by opposing faces of a nipping and transporting apparatus 9 composed of a pair of right and left belts 8 having the opposing faces both rotatable backward in backward inclining planes and root vegetable parts 3b are pulled out and transported backward with keeping hung positions. In the transportation route of the nipping and transporting apparatus, a shoulder-arranging apparatus having rollers 15 for rotating a pair of right and left pressing faces backward, which press both the shoulders of the root vegetable parts during transportation and keep fixed height, is installed.
