Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a rotor to be prevented from being damaged due to fretting or the like occurring along with the change of the rotational frequency of the rotor, by forming a relief groove either at the corner section of a groove for inserting a wedge unit or at the shoulder section of the wedge unit when the wedge unit is inserted into a slot opening section. CONSTITUTION:In the outer periphery of a core 2 integrated with a rotor shaft, a plurality of slots are formed in the axial direction, and on a rotor with coils, spacers, and wedge units inserted into each slot in order, at the corner section of the teeth 7 of the core with the inserted wedge unit 6, a relief groove 8 is formed. Otherwise, the relief groove may be formed at the corner section of the shoulder section of the wedge unit 6 confronting the corner section of the core teeth. The cross section of the relief groove 8 should be formed in a circular shape. As the result, tensile stress near the corner section of the core teeth 7 can be reduced, and so fatigue or crack can be prevented from being generated.
