Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control a motor in response to its impact state in impacting, consequently, to properly execute work of using impact force, in a rotary impact tool.SOLUTION: A rotary impact tool comprises a motor 4 and an impact mechanism. An impact mechanism comprises: a hammer which rotates by a torque of the motor; an anvil which rotates by receiving the torque of the hammer; and an installation part for installing a tool element in the anvil. The impact mechanism is configured so that, when a torque of a predetermined value or more is added from an external part to the anvil, the hammer idles by being disconnected from the anvil, and strikes the anvil in the rotational direction. When detecting impact of the anvil by the hammer after starting drive of the motor, a control circuit 31 controls the drive of the motor 4 in response to a variation width of a physical quantity of varying due to the impact.
