Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary machine having a brush and the structure of a brush holder that can secure an effective utilization size of the brush with no sticking of the brush with the brush holder even in an overload operation state, and that does not deteriorate seating performance of the brush.SOLUTION: A rotary machine includes: a rotatably held rotor; a slip ring integrally provided with the rotation shaft of the rotor; a brush holder disposed toward the slip ring; a brush slidably held by the brush holder; and a depressing member for depressing the brush onto the slip ring. The brush holder is an integrated member. A gap part in which a distance between the brush and the brush holder is larger than the other part is provided on the slip ring side.
