PURPOSE: To improve record characteristic and the quality of a reproduced picture, by reducing the difference of transmission efficiency at each frequency in the case when the center frequency of chroma-signals is transmitted by changing over it every 1 field.
CONSTITUTION: When chroma-signals, which center frequency mutually differs, are transmitted through two pairs of coupling coils 15A, 15B of a rotary transformer 10, this device is shaped to ensure that a chroma-signal of center frequency fA, which transmission efficiency is low, is transmitted by means of the coupling coil 15A, which transmission efficiency is high, and a chroma-signal of center frequency fB is conversely transmitted by means of another coupling coil 15B. Consequently, the deterioration of transmission efficiency is mutually compensated, and the difference of transmission efficiency regarding each chroma-signal becomes small, thus reducing the dispersion of signal characteristic, such as, SN ratio, etc. about each chroma-signal, then ensuring excellent pictures - especially, the reproduction of the record of superior color video signals.
