Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation-resistant wire rope that can improve torsional rigidity of a rope core so as to suppress rotation of a wire rope.SOLUTION: A wire rope 10 comprises a rope core 1 formed by twisting two or more strands 2 for a rope core obtained by twisting multiple element wires 3, and a side strand 5 formed by twisting multiple element wires 6, and multiple side strands 5 are twisted around the rope core 1. The rope core 1 is subjected to diameter reduction molding. The twisting direction of the side strands 5 twisted around the rope core 1 is the reverse direction to the twisting direction of the strands 2 for a rope core twisted with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
