Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and stability of rotation detection by providing a magnetic detecting means provided on the common magnetic patch of a magnetic flux loop produced by a 1st or 2nd magnetic circuit and a rotary body. CONSTITUTION:When a projection part 1b of the rotary body 1 is positioned approaching the side of a pole 51 and center pole 7 of the 1st magnetic circuit 2, the circuit 2 and rotary body 1 are coupled magnetically with each other and when the projection part 1b approaches the side of poles 52 and 7 of the 2nd magnetic circuit 3, the circuit 3 and rotary body 1 are coupled with each other magnetically. When the threshold level of a magnetic sensor 8 is set to a positive and a negative direction respectively, a pulse signal which goes up to H level corresponding to respective crest values is obtained as its detection signal. Then when the threshold value level is set to such a value (level phith1 and phith2) that the sine wave signals (a) and (b) with the minimum amplitude of the magnetic flux can be detected, the pulse signal as the detection signal can securely be obtained since the threshold value has a margin even if a magnetic gap varies and the magnetic flux amplitude varies. The rotating speed of the rotary body 1 and further a specific measured quantity can be detected from the frequency of this pulse signal.
