To provide a rotation transmitting apparatus which transmits a power from one input side to any one of two output sides.
An outer race 3 is provided outside a cylindrical input side member 1, and an inner race 5 is provided inside the input side member 1. A reversed function type electromagnetic roller clutch 10, which is engaged and connects the input side member 1 to the outer race 3 by stopping the current supply to an electromagnetic coil 23a of an electromagnet 23 and is disengaged by supplying the current to the electromagnetic coil 23a, is installed between the input side member 1 and the outer race 3. A normal function type electromagnetic roller clutch 30, which is engaged and connects the input side member 1 to the inner race 5 by supplying the current to the electromagnetic coil 23a of the electromagnet 23 and is disengaged by stopping the current supply, is installed between the input side member 1 and the inner race 5. The electromagnets 23 of the respective electromagnetic roller clutches 10, 30 are commonly used, and the power to be input to the input side member 1 is transmitted to any one of the outer race 3 and the inner race 5 by selecting the supply or the stop of the current to the electromagnet 23.
