Title:
RUNNING GUIDE SHOE FOR TRANSMISSION CHAIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3269011
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce frictional resistance by forming the cross section of the intermediate section of a running guide shoe into a protruding pressure contact face slidably guiding the end faces of a part of a chain plate, and forming the approaching side and the leaving side of a chain into a flat pressure contact face slidably guiding the end faces of all the chain plates.
SOLUTION: The cross section form of a running guide shoe 11 in the intermediate section between the admission side and the secession side of a chain is formed into projecting pressure contact faces 13A slidably guiding only the end faces of the outer chain plates L1 to be parts of the chain plates of a roller chain, and projecting pressure contact faces 13B slidably guiding only the end faces of the inner chain plates L2 of the roller chain. Further, the running guide shoe 11 on the admission side and the secession side of the chain is formed into a flat pressure contact face. In this way, the sliding area against the chain plates is reduced in the intermediate section of the running guide shoe 11. Further, on the admission side and the secession side of the chain, bearing pressure due to tension or vibration of the chain is dispersed.
