Title:
RUNNING SHOES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003009907
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve a running shoe which is likely to be slipped off by being often stepped on a heel section by a following runner when crowded with runners, and which has a limitation to the extent in being tightly fastened by shoelaces for not being slipped off, although an ankle is exposed and a much flexible material is employed for a sole so that an ankle movement is not prevented when running, in the conventional running shoes.

The running shoe is provided with an engaging portion near the top end of a heel section for engaging a fixing belt, and the fixing belt to be engaged with the engaging portion has elasticity in the longitudinal direction. When the fixing belt is wound around the ankle and engaged with the engaging portion, the runner does not feel any burden with the belt in usual running, and the shoe is not slipped off by a function of the belt when stepped on the heel section.
