Abstract:
PURPOSE:To stably guide a carriage by receiving the guide signal transmitted from a continuously buried cable. CONSTITUTION:Two cables 2 and 2' through which guide signals F1 and F2 modulated by digital signals M1 and M2 are transmitted from a guide transmitter 1 installed in a base are continuously buried in the ground in parallel with a proper width in case of a fairway and at a proper interval in case of a cart road. A carriage 3 is provided with reception coils 4 and 4' which receive guide signals F1 and F2 from cables 2 and 2'. When receiving either of guide signals F1 and F2 by coils 4 and 4', the carriage 3 is run while describing an S shape between buried cables in accordance with the classification of the received signal. In case of straight running, guide signals F1 and F2 are simultaneously received to straightly guide the carriage. The carriage 3 is started and stopped by a remote control transmitter 5 through a remote control receiver provided in the carriage 3.
